After traumatic events such as motor vehicle accidents, head trauma can sometimes trigger or cause ocular problems that can impact eye movements, focusing ability, stereopsis/binocularity and visual fields. Testing available includes perimetry, fundus imaging, colour vision testing, extra-ocular movement (EOM) and accommodative (focusing ability) testing.
Treatment plans include targeted visual rehabilitation with a combination of prescription eyewear, therapeutic tints, prescribed therapeutic exercises with optical tools such as loose lenses, prism, or vectograms.
